You are absolutely correct, Joe,

The Democrats absolutely refuse to analyze the massive immigration situation - both legal and illegal. Yet they complain about:

1-lack of affordable housing;

2- wretched levels of education in most public schools;

3- inadequate & unaffordable healthcare;

4- lousy jobs with low wages and no benefits;

5- disruption in neighborhoods and deterioration of quality of life, as well are lack of social services.

Every one of these issues is seriously affected by the high level of people entering the US. The easiest and cheapest way to deal with all of these problems - plus others I haven't mentioned - is to halt illegal immigration altogether and lower dramatically the level of legal immigration. Instead the left wants to throw more & more money at the problems on the grounds that the US 'is a rich country' and that there is plenty more where that came from by 'taxing the rich'.

When the unaccompanied alien minors (UAM) began pouring across the border, we should have sought out the contacts who sent for them - the UAMs showed up with phone #s! - and deported those who were here illegally along with the UAMs, charged those here legally with smuggling, and charged those who were importing the UAMs for exploitation with trafficking. It would have shut the UAM scam down. Instead we simply became the last leg in the cartels' human smuggling/trafficking criminal conspiracy. Stupid is as stupid does...

It doesn't take Einstein to figure this out.
