Immigration advocates are always on-the-spot with a prepared rebuttal to Americans who pose reasonable questions about whether a better way might be found to manage the inflow of foreign nationals.
I agree, but...When I joined the immigration restriction movement nearly 25 years ago, the man who hired me, a now retired economist and demographer, told me the average American doesn't care about numbers. He/she cares about how their pocketbook is affected. But he/she will never know the importance of what Mr. Guzzardi says here because the mainstream media (deliberately) has their heads so far up their butts they can see their tonsils. Blatantly biased journalism has been the problem since Day One when it comes to our federally-created immigration crisis that is destroying this republic. Today's journalists are stooges for the Democrat Party that hates this country. Mr. Guzzardi's highly-regarded and factual coverage of this problem continues to fall on the deaf ears of those "journalists" who take up space in the nation's newsrooms and are unable to spell "critical thinking" let alone engage in it.
This is very good reporting, particularly the closing elements that use actual numbers of criminal activity by illegal immigrants.
