A folly indeed! But a far greater folly are the millions of the cowardly Americans who agree with you privately but continue to remain silent for reasons known only to them.
Oh, I think I know why many remain silent. They get jumped on by the pro-immigration types. That's happened to me a lot, but it usually doesn't silence me. And I'm getting better at making it hard for them to fight my arguments--like saying that if the immigrants were staying home, they could be improving life in their countries. And if that were happening, those countries could be figuring out how to live well without rampant consumerism (more emphasis on social life, less on things and stuff), and the world would be a better place.
Comments on two left wing substacks today have gotten a handful of positive responses, and no contrary responses. But it's taken me a long time to get reasonably good at this.
